PRESS UPDATES

Sentimental and inspirational, “Unbroken” manages to foster hope and faith in the midst of tragedy.

March 18, 2024

Composer Maurice and librettist Barizo give us a story so gentle, so beautiful, so filled with a rich, detailed love!  We become part of that family.  It’s very like Thornton Wilder’s Our Town in its graceful, poetic presentation of how we humans deal with time, and loss, and the passing of wisdom and fortitude from generation to generation.

March 18, 2024

There’s just something about hearing seven voices singing complex and pitch-perfect harmony softly but intently that is irresistible.

The poignancy of “Unbroken” is clearly delineated in J. Mae Librizo’s libretto, which handsomely complements the soulful score written by composer Ronald Maurice.

April 28, 2023

These works will broaden the scope of opera through themes and subject matter that are not commonly formatted for its stage.
